I recently stayed at the Saint Kilda Beach Hotel for three nights, and while the location was fantastic with trams right outside, my experience was mixed. The room was clean but could definitely use an upgrade, and I was disappointed by the lack of local info from the staff upon check-in. Additionally, I faced a challenging situation accessing my room due to a window that couldn't open and a cumbersome stairwell system.

Rooms
6.0
The room was spacious and clean, but definitely in need of a renovation. I couldn't open my window, which was frustrating given my claustrophobia.
Service

The staff were friendly and accommodating, but I would have appreciated more local information during check-in as it would have been helpful.
Location
7.0
The location was perfect, right in the heart of St Kilda, close to the beach and restaurants. It made getting around really convenient.
Dining
6.0
I didn’t eat at the hotel, but I found numerous dining options within walking distance, which was a plus.
Facilities
5.0
The facilities were basic, and the parking was a hassle since the hotel lot was full. I had to park next door and carry my luggage, which wasn't ideal.

6.2/10

My stay at the Saint Kilda Beach Hotel was a mixed experience. On one hand, the location is fantastic, just a short walk from the beach, and the staff were exceptionally friendly and welcoming. However, the room itself was quite lacking, feeling basic and somewhat dated, which was disappointing. The coffee at the café was good, but overall the hotel is in need of some renovations to truly shine. 🌅

Rooms

I found the room to be sparse and in need of an update. The bed was comfortable enough, but there were some cleanliness issues that detracted from my overall experience. I also noticed a stained runner at the foot of the bed.
Service

The staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating. I appreciated the two free coffee vouchers at check-in, though I didn't get to use them. Their helpfulness definitely enhanced my stay.
Location
7.0
The location was perfect for my needs, with easy access to the tram and the beach boardwalk. However, I noticed some concerns about safety in the immediate area, with vacant premises nearby.
Dining
9.0
The café downstairs had excellent coffee and a good breakfast menu. It was definitely a highlight of my stay, though I wish I could have tried dinner there too!
Facilities
7.0
Parking was available, albeit tight and limited, which is typical for Melbourne. I did not request service for my room since I was only staying one night.

5.0/10

I had a mixed experience at the hotel. The location was excellent—just a short walk to the beach and nearby attractions. but the facilities left much to be desired. The elevators were painfully slow and often overcrowded, while the room itself, albeit clean, could use some upgrades and better maintenance.

Rooms
5.0
The room was clean with a comfortable bed, though it felt a bit small for the price. The shower lacked water pressure, and the walls were quite thin, making it noisy at times.
Service
5.0
The staff were friendly and tried their best, but I noticed some were a bit slow or inexperienced. Communication regarding amenities could have been clearer.
Location

The hotel is perfectly situated near St Kilda beach, with easy access to Luna Park and public transport. a great spot for exploring the area.
Dining

I enjoyed breakfast at the café downstairs. the food was good, making it a lovely start to the day, but I would have appreciated more variety.

The hotel’s facilities need improvement; the slow elevators were a major hassle, and there was a lack of clear information on Wi-Fi access.

I had a nice stay at the Saint Kilda Beach Hotel, enjoying the convenient location near the beach and local attractions like Luna Park. However, the rooms felt a bit cramped, and I experienced some issues with cleanliness. While the staff were friendly and helpful, I felt that the shower water pressure could definitely use improvement. Overall, it was a decent experience, but there are definitely areas to enhance for future visits. 🌊🌟

5.8/10

My stay at Saint Kilda Beach Hotel was quite satisfactory overall. The customer service really stood out, with friendly staff who even returned items I left behind. However, the rooms felt a bit dated and could use some freshness, and the water pressure in the shower was just okay. If you can snag a good deal, this spot can be a solid choice for business travelers.

Rooms
6.0
The room was comfortable and quiet, but showing signs of wear with chips in the laminate and the need for better maintenance. I did appreciate the comfortable bed, though.
Service
8.0
The staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating. They really went above and beyond when they delivered my forgotten shirts to another hotel.
Location
8.0
The location is fantastic, just a short walk to the beach and various restaurants and bars. The proximity to the tram makes it easy to reach central Melbourne, which I loved.
Dining
6.0
I found the breakfast options average, and the value didn't quite match up to what I'd prefer from other hotels. However, the cafe in the foyer was good.
Facilities
5.0
The fitness center and sun deck were underwhelming and did not live up to the descriptions provided. The gym was a small space with minimal equipment.
